One thing we’ve witnessed again and again during the COVID-19 pandemic is the incredible need for kids to play, spend time with others, and get outside. We’ve long believed that summer camp changes lives – and we believe it even more today as we see the transformation in kids at camp getting to play again.
Over the past two years, we’ve done a lot to ensure that play can still happen. We’ve moved almost all of our summer camp program outdoors – leaning into the beautiful Creation we have at Ferncliff. We’ve adapted our schedules, our group size, our cleaning and sanitizing procedures. You name it – we’ve thought about it. But we have never lost sight of some of the most important parts of camp: kids playing, with peers and young adult mentors, outside in God’s Creation.
As the pandemic continues, we continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and follow guidance from the CDC and the Arkansas Department of Health. Changes and adaptations to our policies, procedures, and schedule will be posted promptly here on this website. For now, we anticipate hosting a summer of 10 weeks of camp, including Overnight Camps, Day Camps, Nature Preschool Day Camps, and Family Retreats.
We look forward to spending time this summer playing. And we hope you’ll come play too.
