Mission Teams

Mission Teams

Ferncliff’s Mission Team Program gives groups a variety of outreach experiences while based at a camp and conference center known for its commitment to mission, sustainability, and creativity! Ferncliff is an ideal place for mission teams: we are home to the 10,000 sq. ft. Disaster Assistance Center (DAC), we have all kinds of outdoor space and camp activities available, and we are located near many local organizations & places of interest where groups can get a variety of outdoor, cultural, or service experiences.

Who:
Ferncliff’s Mission Team Program is designed for groups of 10-25 participants of youth or adults. We recommend a 1:8 ratio of adults to youth. Ferncliff requires a minimum age of 12 for participants.

What:
We have two packages for mission teams. Teams can do service projects on-site all week at Ferncliff (the “Ferncliff Experience”) or coordinate service outings at a variety of local agencies throughout the week (the “Central Arkansas Impact”).
All teams stay at Ferncliff and will spend time working Ferncliff’s Disaster Assistance Center. All teams also have the option to participate in camp activities at Ferncliff and spend time exploring local attractions and places of interest in the Little Rock/Central Arkansas area.

When:
We can book mission teams throughout the year! Our busiest season for youth mission teams is during the summer, but we can work with teams in the fall and spring as well. Most teams come for a week (Sunday-Friday) but we can often accommodate groups for a weekend or a shorter week, especially during the non-summer months.

Where:
Ferncliff is located just 6 miles west of Little Rock. We are 30 minutes from the LIT airport. Grocery stores, restaurants, and other needs are only a short drive (2-15 minutes) from Ferncliff.

Groups stay at our Retreat House, which has 5 bedrooms with a total of 25 beds, many of which have adult-friendly Tempurpedic mattresses! There are 3.5 bathrooms, a full-service kitchen, dining areas, living room areas, and a washer/dryer. The Retreat House also has WiFi, outdoor seating on its decks, a grill, and a nearby fire pit with benches. The farmstead and animals are right next door! Additionally, the Retreat House has access to a number of options for free time: a large play field, a circle of hammocks, a creek for fishing, and a 9-hole disc golf course.
