Luke Trail Hike

Starting at the stone bridge, this is a 1.4 mile hike with a good bit of elevation.  It takes you up to Chiquita Rock which overlooks Ferncliff, past the blue hole and Ramsey Chapel. The trail is marked in white and is probably Ferncliff’s most popular trail.

 

Akin Trail Hike

This is a 1.4 mile hike with a good bit of elevation.  It takes you up to the ridge line of Mark Mountain.  It starts at the bridge just before the Belden Pond cabins and then comes down by the pool.

Starting in the field behind the Christian Activity Building (CAB) this is a short scenic loop along the creek that flows out of Belden Pond.

This is a beautiful and long trail. It can be pretty steep and wet. If you want to extend your hike, you can take the Akin-Loop on your way back down the mountain.  This follows some logging roads and there are some creek crossings.  Most of the trail is marked in blue marking tape.

 

Two Vultures Trail

The trailhead starts at down the road beside Belden Pond. It passes a cave, where it’s namesake, two vultures, were hatched last year. This is a short trail, although there is some elevation.

 

Dining Hall to Outback Loop Walk

Starting at the dining hall, go for an easy stroll through the Outback and visit our garden and animals on this flat walk that is just under 1 mile.

 

Dining Hall to Blue Hole Walk

.71 miles

This is a 3/4 of a mile easy and beautiful walk to the Blue Hole starting at the Dining Hall.

 

Walk to Belden Pond

.84 mile

Starting at the Dining Hall this is a walk that is just under one mile. Going along the Shady Shortcut, you can walk to the end of Belden Pond and back.

 

Steve’s Well Trail

.56 miles

Starting at the dining hall, this short and easy trail leads to a beautiful Crystal Well with a nice bench and view.

 

Loop to Spragins Point Amphitheater

Starting in the field behind the Christian Activity Building (CAB) this is a short scenic loop that curls around Matthew Mountain, climbs to the Spragins Point amphitheater and comes back down the hill.
