Meals

Food service serves a key role at any conference or retreat. Sharing a meal together, quite literally breaking bread, is such an important event that fosters meaningful connection and cooperation among those gathered at the table. Whether you’re with colleagues, old friends, or mere acquaintances, there is something uniquely special about the fellowship that takes place around a meal. This fellowship and sense of community is undeniably important in camp and conference ministry –  which is why we are committed to offering food service that exceeds expectations.


Ferncliff consistently receives high marks for food service.  Meals are traditionally served buffet style.  All our meals give guests a variety of options from which to choose.  For lunch and dinner we provide a main entree and side items, a full salad bar, coffee, tea, juice or lemonade and dessert.  We provide a vegetarian option at every meal and fruit is always available.  We supplement with fresh vegetables from our garden and locally-grown food when available.


We can also provide a variety of snack trays and beverages to groups using our meeting spaces by request.

Ferncliff’s Dining Hall can accommodate up to 210 guests with round tables.  Standard meal times are 8 a.m., 12 noon, and 6 p.m.

A lakeside picnic area can handle 200 guests. There is a stone, charcoal grill and a lakeside fire pit for campfires.
