Chapter 9.1 - First Six Weeks In A Day in the Life Posted October 20, 2016

Chapter 9.1 - First Six Weeks

I arrived at Ferncliff September 6. The first week was orientation. I felt as if I was being given a tour of diving boards and all I wanted was to one to jump off into the deep end. This comes from the time or two where I have been hired mid season and had to play what I call an advanced game of follow the leader. Needless to say when week two hit and orientation was over, I was ecstatic. Work wise, I have been the master assistant to the master organizer as Emily and I teamed up to fight the chaos that is clutter. We did battle in the Rec shed, the Outback Barn, the Ball boxes, and in the Q.  As we move forward into the future with this old found organization we campaign to keep it that way. I am working on the nature school curriculum with the help of Dorothy and Kelsey. I recently finished building platforms for a low rope element called mountain tops/the incomplete bridge and the A Frame. Other current projects include but not limited to summer camp photo organization, video tours of buildings on camp, and 2017 budget lines.20161011_114107

While I am here at Ferncliff, I hope to explore the all the wilderness Arkansas has to offer with plenty of camping, rock climbing, and hiking! The YAV’s and I went to Pinnacle Mountain. We scrambled up the west side and hiked down the east side.
