For many things, God, we are grateful for change.

When presidents change and women break glass ceilings, we are grateful for change.

When the days begin to lengthen and the sun breaks through the clouds, we are grateful for change.

When we reconnect with a voice we haven’t heard for so long, we are grateful for change.

When a new idea sparks new creativity, we are grateful for change.

When 400,000 people in one country and millions around the world have died from COVID-19, we would be so grateful for change.

 

And in the midst of all this change, we are grateful too for some things that stay the same.

For familiar faces on Zoom, for the natural beauty of camp, and for you, God.

For you, Jesus Christ, remain the same, yesterday, today, and forever.
