The Over the Hill Gang is an integral part of Ferncliff’s mission & outreach operations! This longstanding group has been faithfully serving Ferncliff for years as they have put their skills to good use in our woodshop. We’ve kept them pretty busy over the years! The OTHG members are responsible for creating bed frames, bunk beds, shelves, benches, wardrobes, preschool playground structures, trash can holders, woodboxes, swings, benches, picnic tables, even the giant Adirondack chairs around our site! Whatever we can think up for them to make, they’ll find a way to tackle it.
We have been blessed with their service and friendship from their weekly gatherings in our maintenance shop. At times, this group works so efficiently that we can’t keep up with them! While the OTHG continues to use our wood shop to work on projects benefiting Ferncliff, they periodically have availability to take project submissions from other groups – churches, schools, camps, and nonprofits. We hope that some other worthy groups will benefit as we have from this groups generosity and productivity.
