Summer of Jubilee Day Camp Programs In A Day in the Life, Summer Camp Posted June 1, 2020

Summer of Jubilee Day Camp Programs

Over the last week or so we have received many calls from parents asking if we will be offering any summer programs now that the state has updated its directive for camp programs.  Our leadership has spent the last week meeting and discussing the need in our community and what, if any, Ferncliff’s role could be in providing an option to support families this summer.

With the changes in the Arkansas Department of Health directive for camps, Ferncliff is planning to offer Summer of Jubilee day camp programs beginning July 6th and continuing through August 7th.  We will be submitting our plan to the Arkansas Department of Health and working alongside childcare licensing professionals to ensure our programs meet the ADH directives for day camp programs.

Registration links are not currently available but we expect them to be available by the end of this week at the latest.  As soon as we have everything in order we will send an email with registration links to all camper families that have registered in the last two summer seasons as well as post them on our website and social media channels.

The Summer of Jubilee day camp programs will involve small groups of 10 or less.  Each group will have their own cabin as their home base but will largely spend their day outdoors.  Daily health screenings of campers and staff will be conducted and program areas and equipment will be cleaned and sanitized routinely.  Campers will bring their own lunch and snacks.  We will follow all directives for summer day camp programs from the Arkansas Department of Health.

Thank you for your support and patience.   We are still working out some details of how our programs will need to be adjusted to help ensure the health and safety of our campers and staff and our leadership is continuing to monitor the public health situation in Pulaski County.

Sincerely,

Joel Cory Gill
