Help us help our neighbors.
We have been getting many calls asking for ways that people can assist those affected by flooding in Arkansas and neighboring states. Here’s how Ferncliff is responding and how you can help too.
Having a disaster assistance center onsite gives us a way to directly respond to disasters when they occur. We are currently receiving flood buckets, school kits and hygiene kits from congregations and community groups. We will inspect them, repackage them and prepare them for delivery. Then we will load them onto trucks so they can be transported to those that need them. You can organize a group to create these church world service disaster kits and send them our way. Donations can be made directly to Ferncliff by check at the address below or credit card by clicking here to support our disaster assistance work. List disaster assistance in the memo line to support this effort.
We partner with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) and Church World Service (CWS) in our Disaster Assistance Center. PDA is currently assessing the damage as the waters recede and will be very involved in the long term recovery of the affected area. You can help by organizing a team for a service deployment and/or supporting PDA financially. Learn more about how you can help and about PDA’s ongoing efforts here.
