Ferncliff Forest Church
For many, the word ‘church’ means a building. But the Church did not start this way. The Church started as a group of people, gathered outside in creation. over time, the Church has become separated from the natural spaces where it began. Caught up in buildings and structure, faith has become separated from the natural spaces where it began. Caught up in buildings and structure, faith has become something to be found in the pews of physical churches. But many people find their experiences of faith to be planted and nurtured in the natural world. Their connection to the Creator is deeply rooted in and with creation.
Ferncliff Forest Church offers seasonal gatherings where folks can worship God and connect with creation. We learn from both creation and scripture. We do something outside, no matter the weather, and it never looks the same twice. We always make sure all ages can participate, from young and curious to old and wise – and everyone in between. Ferncliff is a place where we can keep our faith fresh and growing, just like nature – ancient yet new, deep roots with new leaves.
