How exactly will my alternative gift donation be spent?
All attempts will be made to use the gift you give for the specific item or purpose you select. If the need has already been met by other means or previously received donations, Ferncliff will use the gift to help cover other needs that still exist. All gifts will be used to support Ferncliff’s mission, which is to welcome people into a life of caring for Creation, others and themselves.
Put another way – let’s say we need 20 Splashy Suits next year and 5 Fire Kits. Through the Alternative Gift Catalog, Ferncliff receives 50 Splashy Suit donations and 1 Fire Kit donation. Rather than buying 50 Splashy Suits this year when we only need 20 and only 1 Fire Kit when we need more than that, and rather than creating a Splashy Suit line item on our budget to carry that over to another year, we will allocate the funds by program or department so that the Nature Preschool could decide how to most effectively utilize the donations received.
What will I receive when I make an alternative gift donation?
If you purchase before December 10th, you will be mailed one honor card for each gift that you purchase. You can then gift these honor cards to your loved ones to share with them about the incredible ministry they have enabled, and use the stationery throughout the year!
When do I need to make my donation by?
In order to receive the mailed honor cards in time for Christmas, we recommend you make your donation by December 10th.
