Hello Ferncliff friends!
Some of you might know me from working together, some of you might recognize me as your former camper, and some of you might not know me at all! I grew up going to Ferncliff as a camper, and in 2013, I transitioned into working as a counselor. Sadly, this upcoming summer will be my last!
In late August, I begin a year of service through the Young Adult Volunteer program (YAV) in Glasgow, Scotland. I have committed to raising $5,000 in gifts and pledges for my year of service, and I am hoping that you will support me in this effort!

The YAV program is a mission of the Presbyterian Church (USA). There are 21 sites world wide, Ferncliff included! I will be living simply with three other YAVs in an intentional Christian community. Our work will directly address areas in Glasgow facing and experiencing poverty through the Church of Scotland’s Priority Areas program. This year is intentionally crafted to be life-changing and transformational, both for me and for the communities that will welcome me.
I hope that you will consider making a gift or pledge toward my financial support. The timing is urgent as I need to raise $2,500 by July 1st. Linked here is a flyer that details more information about me and a Covenant of Support Form through which you can make a gift or pledge. Both documents describe how to make a contribution if you choose to do so.

Financial support is welcome, but having partners in prayer is necessary. I invite you to pray for me and my fellow YAVs as we go on this journey, and for the communities that will welcome us. You may also read along and follow my journey on my blog: leilapwright.wordpress.com.
I look forward to hearing from you, and thank you for your consideration, prayer and financial support!
Sincerely,
