Ferncliff consistently receives high marks for food service. Meals are served buffet style. All our meals give guests a variety of options from which to choose. For lunch and dinner we provide main entree and side items, a full salad bar, coffee, tea, juice or lemonade and dessert. We provide a vegetarian option at every meal and fruit is always available. We supplement with fresh vegetables from our garden and locally-grown food when available.
We can also provide a variety of snack trays and beverages to groups using our meeting spaces by request.
Ferncliff’s Dining Hall can accommodate up to 210 quests with round tables. Standard meal times are 8 a.m., 12 noon, and 6 p.m. Menus and time adjustments can be negotiated.
A lakeside picnic area can handle 200 guests. There is a stone, charcoal grill and a lakeside fire pit for campfires.
This is our program activity center. We can accommodate up to 150 guests. We use this space most of the year as our home base for our nature preschool program.
The Brown Center has 36 hotel-style rooms, most with two double beds. Six of the rooms are handicap-accessible. Each room in the Brown Center has a private bathroom with shower, a desk with a lake view and wifi. All the beds and bedspreads are new.
The Christian Activity Building (CAB) is a multipurpose facility that can seat two hundred (200) people theater-style. This space is well suited to large-group youth activities or to adult conference meetings. The large multi-purpose space in the C.A.B. is 50×50.
Williams Lodge accommodates twenty four (24) with eight (8) motel-style rooms that overlook Ferncliff Lake. Each room has three (3) twin-beds with tempurpedic mattresses, a private bathroom with a shower and wifi.
The Ferncliff Retreat house can accommodate 25 people for lodging. It has five bedrooms, three full baths, one half bath, a full-service kitchen, a large dining room (13 x 35) with serving area, washer and dryer, two living areas and wifi.
The Eco Center is a 5600 sq ft straw bale building with 6.5 bathrooms, and 6 bedrooms with 24 twin tempurpedic mattresses. In the center of the building there is a large meeting space with room for 100. It has wifi and a kitchenette area.
This rustic, minimalist, camping area can accommodate a group of up to 36 people. There is a large pavilion and fire pit area between the cabins. Each unit is equipped with electricity, lights and a ceiling fan.
The Belden Pond Cabins are four, twenty-two (22) bed duplexes perched on a crest above the three-acre Belden Pond. The cabins are youth-oriented (yet adult-friendly cabins) that can accommodate a group of eighty-eight (88).
Ferncliff’s four lakeside cabins are situated along the west side of Ferncliff Lake and are fully-outfitted for year-round use. These units can also provide rustic meeting and bunkhouse sleeping accommodations (58) for small groups.
From mid-May to mid-September our pool is a pretty busy place. Each day of camp hundreds of campers play and keep cool in one of the best summer camp pools in the country. That energy and fun continues through the weekend as we open this family-friendly facility to rental for birthday parties and other events.
Mosley Tabernacle is a large, open-air Tabernacle that allows guests to enjoy a spectacular view of Belden Pond. The attached Anne Russ Deck gives an even better view. This space can comfortably accommodate up to 200 people in a theater-style seating arrangement.
This open air pavilion is great for leading games and activities with groups up 80 people. It has a stage area, ceiling fans, and tables and chairs. Its a space we use a lot in our summer camp programs.
The Ramsey Chapel is considered the spiritual center of camp. It is the oldest building on site and has a stone labyrinth just outside the front. It is made of local stone and has old wooden pews and a stain glass window. Its a great place for quiet reflection.
Ferncliff is unique in having its own 10,000 sq ft Disaster Assistance Center commonly referred to as “the DAC.” The DAC has a covenant relcationship with Church World Service (CWS) and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA). For CWS the warehouse is one of two centers designated to receive CWS Gift-of-the-Heart kits from churches around the country.
The focus of the Little Rock site at Ferncliff is on living sustainably on the earth, living compassionately with neighbors – including those who have experienced disaster,– and living faithfully in community and congregation. These themes interact as sustainable living calls us to examine cultural values and appreciate global interconnectedness.
Belden Pond is a great place for catching catfish, canoeing or quiet reflection. The JMO Tabernacle and Belden Pond Cabins overlook this body of water.
Ferncliff Lake is a great place for enjoying the outdoors: catch a fish from the bridge, paddle boat around or simply enjoy the peace the view offers.
Aim for the bull’s eye and learn the basics of archery using our compound bows and other necessary equipment. Each participant will receive proper safety instruction and have several sessions to practice shooting and improve his or her skills.

Grab a mat and slide down our 120 ft. enclosed slide called “The Shady Chute”. Feet first and one at a time please 😉
Situated between the Mosley Tabernacle and the C.A.B. is the Big Deck. This deck is a great place to host a dance or picnic under blue skies or bright stars. Also located just feet away–is our Amphitheater and campfire ring, which offers a woodsy space for outdoor vesper services or just hanging out and roasting marshmallows.

We have six low elements and a great play field for facilitating low ropes course programs for campers and guests. Reserve anywhere from 2 hours to an all day event with your team or group.
Play some volleyball or just dig in the sand. This court is lakeside and located right next to our new dining hall.
The garden is always a favorite stop on our camp tours. Guests love feeding the goats, checking for eggs and seeing all the plants and flowers grow. We want our campers and guests to feel close to creation and the natural world and we use what produce we can to supplement our meal service.
This large field is great for large group games of capture the chicken, mighty mighty scoop noodle challenge, disc golf, water kickball and any other group game you can think of. It has restrooms nearby too.
This picnic area can serve groups of 100. It is right by our stone bridge which is an ideal place for fishing. There is a large grill and campfire pit available for your use.
We have mountain bikes and mountain boards that can be reserved by our guests and enjoyed by our campers.
This one mile loop trail will take you along the creek, up Luke mountain to a great look out named Chiquita Rock. Then it comes around on the shady northern side of the hill and goes right by the Ramsey chapel. There is some elevation, but its a nice walk and there is lots to see.
Akin trail starts on the northern side of Mark Mountain, climbs to the ridge and then runs across it and then back down by the pool and splash pad. Its about 1 mile but because of the elevation your legs are sure to be ‘Akin’ when you finish 😉
